The Vision for Prayer Mountain
“Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.” – Haggai 1:8
The vision for Prayer Mountain was given to Schlyce in prayer in November 2006 while she and Brian were living in Chicago, IL. During her prayer time, Schlyce was given the verse from Haggai 1:8 and saw herself standing in the middle of a beautiful sanctuary with cathedral ceilings, sharp angles and windows that looked out right into a mountain. Then in a moment of time, she was lifted up out of the sanctuary and shown a place in the mountains where people from all over the world could come to fast, pray and spend time in God’s presence. It would be a 24/7 House of Prayer, a Kingdom of God training base; a place where the glory of God would be released in signs and wonders and people could come to experience God’s manifest presence and learn to operate in the supernatural power of God.
It was for this reason that Schlyce, Brian and her family felt led to pick up and move to Colorado in 2007 when they recognized that the mountain Schlyce has seen was Pike’s Peak and that she was called to build a world class prayer and healing ministry that would usher in the glory of the Lord as the waters covers the sea. The couple formed Schlyce Jimenez Ministries in 2007 and took the first step towards building Prayer Mountain by launching Prayer Mountain Church in Woodland Park,CO in 2009.
In June of 2010, the name of the church was changed to Joyland – A church enjoying the presence of God. The name change was the result of a church merger with Pastor Larry McKnight’s congregation and the need to reposition and reserve the name Prayer Mountain as the name for the future prayer resort that will be much more than a church.

“Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.” – Isaih 56:7
To build the world’s finest five-star prayer, fasting, and training destination that hosts the presence of God, manifests His glory and trains believers to walk in the “right-now” reality of the Kingdom of God and fulfill the great commission with signs and wonders following.
