Prayer Mountain Church partners with Pastor Larry McKnight and re-launches under a new church name – Joyland, A Church Enjoying the Goodness of God.

Things are heating up in Woodland Park!

“Before joining forces with Schlyce and Prayer Mountain church,” says Pastor Larry McKnight, “a group of us were meeting on Friday nights with the simple but powerful purpose of inviting God’s presence in our midst through worship and bible study.  We all felt that we were in the initial stages of a new church plant, but didn’t feel released to do anything more.  However, after meeting Schlyce, the Lord clearly spoke separately to both of us that we were to work together.  So here we are.  After several wonderful months of planning and fellowship, we are ready to release something greater than either of us could have done alone.”

“We are delighted to finalize our partnership with Pastor Larry McKnight and rename the church to something that more accurately describes its mission within the broader vision of Prayer Mountain” explained Pastor Schlyce Jimenez.  “Prayer Mountain is really a vision for a mountain property, prayer and fasting resort, and sanctuary for God’s presence that would be located near Pike’s Peak.  Therefore, as Pastor Larry and I discussed our partnership and the various aspects of the Prayer Mountain vision, it became clear that we needed to rename the church and reposition the name Prayer Mountain to encompass something more.”

The new church name, Joyland – A Church enjoying the goodness of God, embodies the mission of church body called to build Prayer Mountain.  It is based on the Psalm 16:11, “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore,” and reflects the very heart of what Prayer Mountain is all about.

Both Pastor Schlyce and Pastor Larry will hold senior leadership positions with Joyland and teach regularly from the pulpit.  Church services under the new name Joyland will be held on Saturday nights, starting June 12^th, at 6:00 p.m. at the current Prayer Mountain facility above City Market. Children’s church will also be held during the same time.  New websites for Joyland and Prayer Mountain will be launched in the near future.

Justin Ault came in with pain in his left ankle from a fall on ice . He had swelling and bruising (pain level 3-4). Hands were laid on him and during prayer he experienced a calm and peace and the pain was non-existent. He also had prayer for a hardness of heart and addictions. Hands were laid on him and during prayer he began smiling, had goose bumps and felt a burden lift off. He is confident he will be set completely free. He was also baptized in the Holy Spirit and was feeling good.

Amy Strange was hit by a car while riding her bike in March 2009. She has soft tissue and joint damage in her right knee caused by the accident. For the last four months, she has experienced constant swelling and burning (pain level 3). During prayer, she felt an overwhelming presence of God come over her. She jumped up and down, was able to put all her weight on her right leg, and began hopping on her right leg. Her pain level was 0. She also received a prayer for extreme doubt, shame, and guilt due to occurrences over the last twelve months. She received a word that God was there and loves her very much. The shame was not hers and that God wanted her to rest in him; it was a time for healing. She felt the power of the presence of God all around her; she experienced warmth, became light headed and felt all the burdens lift off.

In April 2009, Kimberly Marshall was hit by a dune buggy while four-wheeling. She was thrown 70 feet and was severely injured. She sustained multiple broken bones and internal injuries requiring surgery and was bruised from head to toe. She still suffers from persistent back pain (her back was broken in eight places), left hip pain (her hip was broken in three places) and right knee pain (her knee was dislocated and all the ligaments were torn). She has a chronic dull pain (pain level 5) in her back daily. Three to four times a week she experiences bone on bone intense pressure in her left hip(pain level 6-7) Her right knee feels tight and sore off and on (pain level 3-4). She came in for prayer for her back and knee. During prayer, she experienced the presence of the Holy Spirit come over her and heat on her knee as the prayer minister touched her. The minister had Kimberly touch her own knee and she felt heat go through her whole body from her hand. She could bend her knee backwards and touch her foot to her bottom. She is feeling good and she is pain free.

Russell Divine prayed for Pastor Barlow during his recent visit to the ministy.  Pastor Barlow said “his ministry was very comforting and encouraging,   I have seen a decrease in the amount of coughing I was doing.  Also, Catherine Toon prophesied over me and her words were very accurate. I was very blessed.  Thanks for your faithfulness.”

For two and a half years I have had pain like a pinched nerve in my right shoulder (pain level 4-5) with numbness and tingling down my arm and a cold sensation in my hand. During prayer the prayer team laid hands on me. I felt heat from the hand of the prayer minister on my shoulder. My pain went to level 1-2. Two weeks later, I had prayer for the same symptoms in my shoulder, especially for the cold sensation in my hand. I experienced a loosening in my shoulder and heat in my hand as I was prayed over. Warmth has returned to my hand and I am pain free.

Now is not the time to faint, slow down or get exhausted. Look within, look to My strength, look to my Spirit. Pray that you would be strengthened with all might in your inner man. You have the stamina. You have what it takes. You can overcome, stand, and push through to victory in every area by My grace, using My ability, through My strength. I always cause you to triumph. You are strong in the power of My might. The battles you face, will face and are currently engaged in are spiritual battles that the enemy is using carnal weapons to wage. Circumstances, symptoms, and thoughts that exalt themselves against My destiny, promises and plans for your life. Therefore, you must take out and the use spiritual weapons I have given you to fight the good fight of faith – praise, worship, speaking the Word, meditating on My promises, focusing on the prophetic words I have given you previously, and taking your thoughts and imaginations captive through the power of My Spirit. Recognize that every so-called giant that you face, every impulse that you have to quit, every lie that the enemy whispers in your ears are nothing when compared to My greatness and My ability that is within you. You are able to do all things through Christ. You are more than a conqueror. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. You are mighty through Me. You have been given all things pertaining to life and godliness. You have been given My name which has authority over all things in heaven and earth. The enemy has no authority, he must deceive you into weakness. Speak to mountains. Speak to symptoms. Don’t allow emotions, circumstances, or thoughts that are not mine to fool or dominate you. Sow the word. Speak it aloud. Keep it before your eyes. Establish your heart in the truth. Resist the devil with all I’ve taught you and He will flee. The seen realm will align with My will if you faint not and continue to contend for your rightful inheritance. You are in a season of growth. You are learning to walk by faith in what I’ve promised, independent of how it looks. Your job is to just confront the lie, confront the symptom, confront the lack using your spiritual weapons. Now is not the time to be passive. Again I say, confront the lies. Confront the enemy. He is defeated and will flee before you as you stand firm. The current battles that you face, if you will just continue to fight the good fight of faith, will serve as the victories in the future that you will reflect on like David did with the bear and the lion. These battles have the potential to launch you into even greater exploits. So don’t despise them, face them head on in My power and use all of the weapons of warfare that I have trained you to use. Victory is in your hands. See it, believe it, speak it and watch it transpire right before your very eyes. Encourage yourself in the Lord. Praise me when it’s hard. Recognize that My presence and power is with you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I am with you, lo until the very end.

Schlyce Jimenez Ministries Starts Prayer Mountain Church in Woodland Park, CO

Get ready Woodland Park, the Kingdom of God is about to invade! 

Prayer Mountain Church, a congregation focused on showing people the unconditional love of God, developing intimacy with God through prayer, and training people to how to operate in the realm of miracles, will open its doors for its first service in Woodland Park on November 1, 2009. 

“Ever since moving our ministry to Colorado in 2007,” explained Senior Pastor, Schlyce Jimenez, “the Lord has been preparing us for this moment.  We’ve been given an awesome vision to transform the city and surrounding areas of Woodland Park with the love, power and reality of God and His Kingdom.  We are truly overjoyed with this assignment.  What a privilege it is to get to build the Kingdom of God in a place that already looks so much like heaven on earth with its breathtaking views of Pike’s Peak.” 

Schlyce Jimenez has been in full-time ministry since 2003 and has a passion to demonstrate that the Kingdom of God is a current reality in the heart of every believer that has the potential to release heaven on earth right now.  She and her husband Brian moved to Colorado after serving for seven years at Living Word Christian Center in Chicago, Illinois – a 17,000 member congregation led by Dr. Bill Winston.  Schlyce and Brian are the founders of Schlyce Jimenez Ministries, Miracle School, the Pike’s Peak Prayer and Healing Rooms, as well as several other entities focused on equipping the Body of Christ to walk in the love, authority and power of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom.

Now is the time to remove distractions, set aside weights and throw aside all that would distract you and focus.  Focus your time,  focus your eyes, focus on seeking My face, and focus on finding out and understanding My will for you in every area.  You must begin to seek Me diligently for the plans that I have for you.  If you will implement My plan, you will prosper.  I have your increase on My mind.  I have your prosperity in mind.  However, I have a specific path that I desire to lead you down.  I have a specific blueprint for your life that I want you to follow.  The Kingdom of God is at hand.  All of your needs are met.  There is no obstacle that can stand before you if you will just follow Me!  Have I not promised to give you the keys to My kingdom?  All that I have is yours.  I have given you all things pertaining to life and godliness.  Now is not the time to make excuses or to allow fear to dominate your thinking.  No, this is the time that I have ordained for those that know Me to do exploits.  But, exploits require faith.  They require that you leave the place of comfort and reason and launch out into the deep based upon what I am telling you in the secret place.  If you do not have my instructions, then start there.  There are specific assets that I desire to transfer into your hands.  There are specific inventions that I desire to give you.  There is specific revelation that I have reserved for you. There are explicit battle plans that I desire to download.  So seek Me first.  Seek me early.  Arrange your schedule to make hearing from heaven your top priority.  For how can you be about Your Father’s business if you do not have His instructions.  Now is not the time to guess.  Now is not the time to try and figure out what you should do.  No, now is the time to hear from heaven before you make decisions and then get my detailed instructions on how to conquer the strongholds that lie before you.  It is my desire for you to make progress and to defeat every so called giant that would try to intimidate you.  Don’t look at your bank account or your current circumstances, look at Me.  I am able to finish the good work I have begun and fulfill My Word.  So seek me for the specific revelation that you need to move forward in this season of your life.  No man will be able to stand before you, and the enemies that stand before you today, you shall not see again, if you will hearken only to My instructions and trust in only Me.
